For individuals, MLG is leading the charge in standing up for the rights of victimized employees who have been harassed, discriminated or retaliated against (whether based on race, religion, gender, national origin) forced to work in a hostile environment, paid less than they were owed or not paid at all, or wrongfully terminated. Both State and Federal laws prohibit employment-based discrimination and retaliation. In fact, although not yet at the Federal level, Illinois State law does offer certain protections for the LGBTQ community.
